Ready to look back already?

This sentence in Brad Setser’s post of April 2, 2009 caught my eye:

When economic and financial historians look back at the current crisis,… [More here]

What is Brad saying? Is it all over and time to start looking at the crisis in historical terms? 

Well, I am being somewhat cheeky here, I admit. Brad does provide some persuasive antidote to popular criticism of governmental inaction, particularly of the Western variety. 

I remain unpersuaded, though. May be, I am wrong.
